The game is played on a circular or polygonal table (1) some three metres in diameter, providing a flat playing surface divided into a number of segments (3, 4, 5) by nets (6, 7, 8). The nets radiate from a central support (9) and have their outer ends attached to peripheral supports (10, 11, 12) close to the edge of the table. Where the table top is polygonal in shape the peripheral posts can be located at or between the angles of the polygon. The height of the table top and nets correspond to existing regulations i.e. 76.2 cm and 15.25 cm respectively.
