PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver by which whether or not each section being each component of the receiver is normal can surely be diagnosed at a high- speed. SOLUTION: A control section 19 diagnoses whether or not an operation key 17 is correctly in operation and diagnoses whether or not the reception sensitivity of the receiver Rx is good on the basis of the C/N. The control section 19 utilizes an idle time of two kinds of diagnostic measurements to diagnose whether or not each generated drive voltage stays within a proper range, diagnoses whether or not a PLL circuit 20 required to generate a signal SIF with an intermediate frequency band can correctly establish synchronization, diagnoses whether or not a QPSK demodulator 21 required to apply QPSK demodulation to the signal SIF at the intermediate frequency band can correctly establish synchronization, diagnoses whether or not a head of a recovered maser frame β is correctly detected, and diagnoses whether or not a head of a recovered audio data frame α is correctly detected. |
