PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate and output a font of a new face even when data constitutions of original outline fonts are different, by compounding frequency fonts provided by conducting orthogonal transformation of outline fonts corresponding to plural faces. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 transforms outline fonts corresponding to preset plural character faces into frequency fonts of an agrregate of discete frequency components by Fourier transformation respectively. The CPU 1 compounds the respective fellow frequency components of the frequency fonts at a prescribed allocation ratio using as compounding objects the frequency fonts corresponding to the plural faces, and a face font newly generated thereby is inverse- Fourier-transformed to be developmentally output. |
