PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for still picture processing which can generate a blur-free still picture by performing accurate movement detection. SOLUTION: This method has a process for sequentially holding the image processed result of a previous frame, a process for inputting the pixel at a position of interest of a current frame, a process for inputting the stored pixel at the position of interest of the last frame, a process for making comparisons of luminance and color difference between input data by a current frame interested pixel input means and input data by a last frame interested pixel input means, a process for detecting whether or not a picture has movement from the comparison result of the luminance and color difference comparing means, and a process for interpolating data of the pixel of interest of the current frame with pixel data above and blow the position of interest of the last frame image when the movement detecting means detects movement of the picture and outputting the interpolated data and outputting the pixel data of the current frame when not. |
