WOOD PLATE CUTTING VENTILATION GRILL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive decoration wood grill by making grooves in the surface and rear of a small wood plate thereby manufacturing a wood grill easily. SOLUTION: In a decoration grill at an opening for accelerating ventilation, lateral grooves 2 are cut in the surface of a wood plate 1 having clean grain. The groove may be V-shape, U-shape or rectangular and a large number of longitudinal grooves 3 are cut in the rear side of same plate. Depth of the surface grooves 2 and rear surface grooves 3 is adjusted such that both grooves cross substantially at the middle part of the plate 1 in the depth direction to make a hole of same size as the width of the groove and air can be ventilated therethrough. According to the arrangement, waste wood chips can be utilized effectively. Soft and graceful feeling of wood can thereby be represented and the ventilation grill can be matched not only to a Japanese room but also to various places by painting.
