PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively manufacture an explosion-proof picture tube by enhancing tensile strength of an entire joint part with comparatively few welding spots. SOLUTION: This explosion-proof picture tube is equipped with a picture tube having a panel face and a metal annulus 7 formed by fixing a metal strip 7a provided on the outer peripheral part of the panel face by a metal joint 5 spot-welded at its each end part while being provided across both end parts of the metal strip 7a. In this case, a distance between a welding spot 6a at one of the both end parts and a welding spot 6b of the other end part is set for not less than 4 times of the diameter of the welding spot. |
