PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of a user and to reduce erroneous operation by providing a means for identifying the function class of a peripheral device connected to a connector and a means for retrieving an application program(AP) functionally corresponding to the identified class or the like. SOLUTION: When a peripheral device 21 is connected to a connector 2, a device identifying part 4 detects that connection and identifies the function class of the peripheral device 21 connected to the connector 2. While receiving the detected and identified results of the device identifying part 4, a program retrieving part 5 retrieves the AP functionally corresponding to the class of the peripheral device 21 connected to the connector 2 out of programs previously registered in a program registering part 3. Then, a program start control part 6 starts the AP retrieved by the program retrieving part 5. Thus, only by connecting the peripheral device 21 to the connector 2, the user can automatically start the AP.
