PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a light source device for flaw detection at a low cost generating steady optical output by using plural fluorescent lamps. SOLUTION: Ultraviolet ray enritted from a lighting fixture 2 reacts with a fluorescent material-containing web 10 to generate fluorescence, which is picked up by an image pickup device 3 with a built-in CCD line sensor. An optical sensor 12 is disposed on the opposite side of the web 10 at an equal distance from two fluorescent lamps 11, and is equipped with a wavelength conversion member 13 for converting the ultraviolet ray into visible light, in the front of its light receiving surface. One light quantity control device 5 is connected to the optical sensor 12 and controls the output of two high-frequency light devices 6 according to photoelectric signals from the optical sensor 12, carrying out the feedback control of the quantity of synthesized light of the fluorescent lamps 11.
