PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the field of view from being obstructed by drain flowing down from the inwall face of a combustion container or dew arising at the inner face of a low temperature pressure-resistant glass, in a sight glass attached to the combustion container for observation of internal combustion state. SOLUTION: A seal box 10 is attached through the sidewall 01 of a combustion container, and the seal box 10 is projected inwardly from a combustion container. Packing retainers 12 and 13 and a glass packing 11 sandwiched between them hold pressure-resistant glass 03 by being pressed by a pressing bolt 17 in the seal box 10. An annular slit 16 is formed in a projection part projected inwardly of the combustion container of the seal box 10, and the drain flowing down to the projection part is allowed to fall downward along this slit 16.
