PURPOSE: An electronic time switch is provided to realize the function of a step motor with a general motor by using a micro-processor unit having a circuit for position detection and velocity control. CONSTITUTION: A power-failure detector(23) outputs a detection signal of power failure. A battery charging unit(24) supplies reserve power at the time of power failure. An overcharge detector(25) generates a detection signal when a load has an excessive overcurrent. A time setting unit(26) is used to input the current flowing time, interruption time and present time. An LCD or LED(27) displays the current flowing time, interruption time and present time. A motor driving circuit(28) drives a motor for controlling the operation of an electronic switch. An electronic motor brake(29) controls the velocity of the motor. A motor position detector(30) detects the position of the motor. A microprocessor(21) controls the LCD or LED(27), the motor driving circuit(28) and the motor electronic motor brake(29).
