PURPOSE: A system is provided to prevent vehicle accident caused by a sudden start of vehicle by controlling the amount of air. CONSTITUTION: An inlet air control system comprises a safety starting system for preventing start of engine unless a driver steps on a brake, a timer(C) installed at a throttle body for preventing excessive supply of fuel caused by an excessive inlet of air, and a sudden start of engine, and a throttle valve for maintaining RPM of engine at an adjusted level. A sudden start of engine is prevented by providing only a predetermined amount of air during a predetermined time period after starting of engine.
