PURPOSE: A system for tracking missing vehicles is provided to prevent vehicle burglary in advance and abuse of stolen vehicles in crimes by simply and conveniently reporting vehicle burglary and searching records of vehicles. CONSTITUTION: A system for tracking missing vehicles includes a terminal(10) mounted in a vehicle or portably carried for tracking records of the vehicle, a portable communication terminal(12) connected to the record tracking terminal for transmitting or receiving data via mobile communication network or internet, a search center(14) having a search server(15) for inputting or outputting data with relation to a search and maintaining a web site in internet by using a search program, database servers(17) for the regional police headquarters for receiving and maintaining data with relation to stolen vehicles, database servers(19) for districts for maintaining data with relation to registration and reissue of vehicle numbers, and database servers(21) for vehicle registration bureaus for maintaining data with relation to registration of the stolen vehicles. |
