PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and an automatic travel regulation correcting and displaying device which automatically convert travel regulation display inside a receiver where a broadcasting station can produce a free program. SOLUTION: This device performs processing that constructs a service unit such as program broadcasting and program related information from received broadcasting data and proceeds to a step 101. In the step 101, a constructed service is decided and when the program service being a display object exists, an advance is made to a step 102. In the step 102, program service data is discomposed into media such as characters and graphics and an advance is made to a step 103. In the step 103, data related to display is extracted among the discomposed media data, and an advance is made to a step 104. In the step 104, whether the extracted data is travel regulation data is decided by collating with a conversion definition table. In a step 105, display data is converted according to the conversion definition table and an advance is made to a step 106. In the step 106, the display data is converted into a command for plotting and a return is made to a step 100.
