PURPOSE: A scan line interleaving method for an ultrasonic color doppler imaging system is provided to eliminate artifact by making the time intervals among all adjacent scan lines be equal or almost be similar to one another. CONSTITUTION: The scan line interleaving method for an ultrasonic color doppler imaging system comprises a step for obtaining an ensemble data required for imaging each scan line by making the time interval of transmission and reception be equal to make the time interval among all imaged scan lines become equal. If the number of scan line to be interleaved to obtain the "e"th ensemble data of the "s"th scan line is "l", the ensemble data is obtained by the following equation: T(s, e)=exl+(s%l)+kxl, wherein % is modulo operator and k is an integer.
