FUSION PROTEIN CONSISTING OF THYMOSIN-ALPHA AND OTHER CYTOKINE

PURPOSE: Provided is a fusion protein of thymosin-alpha and cytokine to overcome shortcomings being generated when thymosin-alpha and cytokine are separately used. CONSTITUTION: The fusion protein of thymosin-alpha and cytokine is obtained by the next steps of: i) reacting thymosin-alpha with sulfo-succinimidyl (4-iodoacetyl) amino benzoate in a molar ratio of 1:5 at 37 deg.C for 2 hours to obtain SIAB-thymosin alpha; ii) reacting SIAB-thymosin alpha with interferon alpha at 37 deg.C with a small amount of iodine acetate being added every 10 minutes; and iii) reacting interferon alpha with thymosin alpha in a molar ratio of 4:1 in a buffer solution at 30 deg.C for 100 minutes; iv) adding purified SIAB-thymosin-alpha and reacting the mixture at 37 deg.C for 30 minutes; and v) adding iodine acetate and checking fusion protein of thymosin-alpha and cytokine through column chromatography.
