PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for a linear motor is provided to accurately maintain the feature of the linear motor by effectively cooling the heat generated when the linear motor is driven. CONSTITUTION: A cooling apparatus for a linear motor comprises a plurality of air supplying holes(2) which are formed at a frame(54) of a rotor(55) on which a permanent magnet(51) or a coil unit(53) is installed. A plurality of perforation holes(3) are formed in the longitudinal direction of the air supplying holes(2). The air is introduced towards a lower portion of the frame(54) through the perforation holes(3). A guide device is provided to guide the air towards a void formed between the permanent magnet(51) and the coil unit(53). The guide device is coupled to the rotor(55) so as to be moved together with the rotor(55).
