Cutter and collector (D) is installed between first cutting bar (100) and front wheels of mower (M), and is formed by association of cutting sub-assembly (210), with second cutting bar mounted below cutting line of first bar, with recovery and collection sub-assembly, located immediately behind cutting sub-assembly. Arrangement is such that stubble left by first cut, is cut by second cutter and collected by recovery sub-assembly. An Independent claim is included for the cutting bar.
