The invention concerns a method for producing a complex mixture of cDNA by reverse transcription of mRNA of tissues or cells, by adding in the mRNA reaction mixture, elongation terminators, recuperating the resulting cDNA mixture, then advantageously purifying same. The invention also concerns the use of the complex cDNA mixture, in particular, as hybridisation probes, particularly for determining the level of gene expression in a sample.
