Preparation of salt- and solids-containing suspensions comprises adjusting the specific weight of the salt solutions to give 1.20 g/l sodium chloride, up to 1.26 g/l sodium formate and/or up to 1.26 g/l potassium formate; adding organic temperature-stable polymers and inorganic loading agent to the suspension; partially removing fine solids of less than 10 micro m by two-stage centrifugation; and partially re-adding solids of more than 10 micro m.
