The slide lock(4) in one section extending at least over a part of the length of the scaffold cross member(1) is constructed with a bend(5) which acts as a travel limiter for a longitudinal movement of the scaffold base(3) fitted in the cross member. The cross member has at least an approximate U-shape, and the bend is formed on a side(10,11) of the U-profile allocated to the connecting device of the base. An Independent claim is included for a scaffold base with a connecting device on the cross member to interact with the slide lock.
