<p>Apparatus for displaying on a surface (7) graphical information written by means of a tracer member (F) defining an active point includes a projector (6), optical sensors (3, 5) for detecting the location of the active point at said surface (7) as well as data processing means (8) which control operation of the projector (6) to cause the projector (6) itself to produce picture elements at the respective points of said surface (7) univocally corresponding to locations of the tracer member (F) as detected by the optical sensor means (3, 5). The processing means (8) are arranged to permit self-calibration of the system thereby avoiding man-made measurements, adjustment operations or the installation of large and rigid devices. Writing and interacting with the system is performed in a natural way, possibly using simply a finger as the tracer member (F), therefor not requiring extensive training and technical competence. Visual feedback is provided to the user (H) by the beam of light projected by projector (6).</p> |
