PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of the operation of a small sized switch for use in a portable telephone, camera, facsimile, etc., and prolong the lifetime of the switch. SOLUTION: A contact spring 11 of a switch to make clicking motion is structured with a plurality of legs 12 being provided at the periphery of a shallow dome shape. Accordingly, the contact spring 11 contacts with a first stationary contact 5, only where legs 12 exist which increases the contacting pressure and ensures electrical continuity, while the characteristics of the spring motions are given as a result of the motions of the dome-shaped part and legs 12, and it is possible to obtain an appropriate rigidity, even if the contact spring is embodied in a small size. This increases the stroke when the contact spring 11 is deformed to ensure the on-off operation, and the over-stroke phenomenon likely after a long time service can be avoided.
