<p>An image signal of an object picked up by an imaging device (202) is analog-processed in a pre-process circuit, the analog-processed image signal is digitized in an A/D conversion circuit, and the digitized image signal is image-processed in an image processing ASIC (206) for storing in a buffer memory (207) which is provided with a through image data storing area and a freeze image data storing area. CPU (212) and the ASIC (206) synthesize image data stored in a through image data area and a freeze image data area as a picture-in-picture as set by an operation unit (214). The synthesized image data is thinned out according to the display resolution of an LCD color monitor (3) for displaying on the LCD color monitor (3).</p> |
