Transport device has conveyor belt assembly (7) supported on a load bearer (2). A glide plate (6) in connected on both sides near the guide rolls (4, 5) of the conveyor belts and is sprung to absorb the load of any weight (9) placed on the conveyor belt. Thus moments caused by the load being away from the conveyor belt center can be absorbed by the glide plate (6).
