PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device equipped with a back light which improves the front face luminance of a liquid crystal panel and which reduces changes in the luminance in the whole screen by preparing a light guide plate having V- grooves and microdots or microdots formed in one body on the surface of a transparent resin material to constitute the back light. SOLUTION: The back light is constituted with a light guide plate which is prepared by forming V-grooves and microdots or microdots in one body on the surface of a transparent resin material such as a n acrylic resin. For example, the light guide plate GLB to constitute the back light of a liquid crystal display device is made of a wedge acrylic plate in which the side face PES (entrance face where light enters) side of the cross section where a linear lamp as a linear light source is to be disposed is made thick. One or a plurality of protrusions (engaging protrusions) STP to engage the plate to a mold case are formed on the line adjacent to the entrance face PES. On the bottom of the plate, V-grooves VSG and microdots MDT are formed into one body. |
