Decontamination of radioactive vaporizer concentrate comprises freeing the concentrate of undissolved components, crystallizing out the sodium sulfate as decahydrate, recrystallizing and repeating, separating off inactive sodium sulfate and returning the vaporizer concentrate to the system. An Independent claim is also included for the apparatus used in the process comprising a container, an exchange cooler, an inlet, an outlet and cooling and heating units.
