Wood shaver has disk carrying blades projecting from one of its faces. Disk is driven in rotation around its own axis and within case, with its input opening to allow wood to be fed to cutting face of disk. Each linear blade (3) is inclined to radial lines of disk (1), so that inner end (3i) of blade is behind, in sense of rotation of disk, outer end (3e) of blade, such that tangential cutting speed of each blade, is roughly constant along blade.
