The present invention is a cover for an ironing board that includes a top sheet (26), a pad (28) of substantially the same size attached to the bottom surface of the top sheet, and a skirt (12) with nose portion (13) and heel portion (18) and attached about the periphery of the top sheet. The skirt al so has an adjustable draw cord (22) housed within a hem (20) formed within the skirt and preferably exiting adjacent the heel portion. The cover has at lea st one cinch (30) that includes a ring (48) and hook and loop fasteners (46) fo r tightening the cover on the ironing board.
