Automatic gearbox setting method for automobile with velocity regulation system limits maximum gear ratio which can be selected when vehicle is on incline

The automatic gearbox setting method selects the gear ratio for maintaining the required velocity in dependence on defined vehicle conditions and operating parameters, with limitation of the highest gear which can be selected when the vehicle is on an incline and the vehicle velocity is above a limit velocity. An Independent claim for an automatic gearbox setting device for an automobile with a velocity regulation system is also included.
