The invention relates to a piston (21) for a hydraulic control device (10) for a clutch, especially the clutch of an automobile, comprising a tubular, especially aluminium based, metal sleeve (42), characterized in that said sleeve(42) comprises an internal transversal wall (60) which is integral with the tubular body of the sleeve (42), whereby a hydraulic chamber (20) is defined towards the front thereof in a cylinder body (17) wherein the piston is mounted in such a way that it can slide axially.
