The present invention relates to a process of treating a carpet comprising t he application of a liquid composition onto said carpet using an electrical spraying device wherein said composition comprises a nonirritating anionic surfactant rated nonirritating to mucous membranes as measured at a 5% activ e surfactant solution using the Draize test method. The process according to t he present invention provides a mucous membrane non irritation benefit.
