A male shield designed primarily for the purpose of placement over the male genital area and deflecting and absorbing urine spray which is often experienced when changing a small male child's diaper or bathing the child. The male shield may be flat or curved and in a preferred embodiment, is shaped in the configuration of a medieval shield having embossed indicia thereon. The shield is typically constructed of an absorbent material and may have a waterproof layer on one side and adhesive applied to the other side for removable attachment to the child.
