The annular gap(5) between the outer(3) and inner(4) exhaust pipe sections is filled with insulating material(6) and the exhaust gas outlet openings are constructed as gill-form protrusions(7) aligned in the inner pipe and at least partially lying in the exhaust gas stream. The gill protrusions are offset in spiral fashion in relation to each other to impart a swirl onto the exhaust gas stream in the axial and circumferential direction of the inner pipe.
