The invention relates to a screw actuator comprising a nut (113) which engages with a screw (114), whereby said nut (113) or screw are joined to a rotating bushing (5) . The screw actuator is characterized in that the bushing (5) is mounted in such a way that it can rotate and travel freely inside a drive body (3) which is also mounted in such a way that it can rotate freely and travel in a fixed manner in a fixed housing (1). The invention is also characterized in that the bushing (5) is rotationally mounted in two ring gears (7a,7b) which are mounted in such a way that they can travel in a moveable manner and can be rotationally driven by said drive body (3), whereby they are subjected to longitudinal stress towards each other by at least two opposing elastic compression means (8a,8b). The invention is further characterized in that said ring gears (7a,7b) have connecting means in one direction of rotation (G, D) and at least one direction of travel with said bushing (5), whereby the directions of rotation are reversed from one ring gear to another, and in that a friction means (9a, 10a; 9b, 10b) disposed in between the ring gear and the corresponding elastic means (8a,8b) rotationally drives at least one of the ring gears (7a,7b) with the drive body (3).
