Sandwich structure has top and bottom covering layers, intermediate core and matrix

The sandwich structure consists of a top and bottom covering layer (4.1,4.2) and an in-between lightweight core (6) made of hollow-bodies fibrous plant particles (8) embedded in a matrix (10). The particles are the residue from a useful plant such as hemp shavings which are dried before being embedded the matrix.
