PURPOSE: A slotting tool is provided to conveniently be used by mounting to a drilling machine, a milling machine or a pressing machine for forming a key groove in a boss of a workpiece such as a pulley or a gear while reciprocally moving vertically, and form the key groove precisely by preventing bending or shaking of a cutting tip when machining the workpiece by forming a guide bushing for protecting and guiding the tip. CONSTITUTION: A slotting tool(100) includes a main body(110) formed with blind holes at side parts and a through hole at a bottom surface for connecting the blind holes, a hollow shaft(120) connected to the main body by being inserted into the through hole of the main body and supporting a cutting tip, a tip conveying bar disposed in the shaft and having an end extended into the blind holes and the other end contacting the tip, a controlling screw(140) spirally coupled in the blind holes of the main body for pushing the tip conveying bar downwardly, and an arm(150) coupled with the main body for preventing rotation of the main body.
