In the present invention there is disclosed an operation process of cupola furnace form producing cast iron. The operation thereof is characterized in that a shaft of the cupola furnace is filled, optionally replenished with a corresponding charge and slag-forming material. In the furnace shaft bottom section there is conducted wind, such as air or oxygen-enriched air, and from the furnace shaft upper section there is exhausted waste gas enriched with powder particle (blast-furnace gas). Filtered-off dust particles and/or comparable powders are conducted back into the cupola furnace as a slag-forming material, whereby briquettes formed of the above-indicated powders, also briquettes that are formed by industrially emanating dusts or sands and containing for the most part SiOi2, particularly dust from filters for waste gases and foundry sands are supplied into the cupola furnace as the slag-forming material, whereby these briquettes are supplied into the cupola furnace together with the other charge and whereby these briquettes are obtained in such a manner that corresponding powders and sands are collected, mixed and moistened, then as a binding agent there is added thereto 1 to 10 percent by weight sulfite waste liquor or comparable binding agent and the whole mixture is then solidified under pressure in molds and subsequently hardened.
|
