<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make reservable the other programs by a timer without breaking the continuity of successive programs, by operating the picture recording start position of a recording medium so that reservation designated programs of picture recording reservation information are continuous in a reservation order with priority, fast forwarding or rewinding to set the recording medium, and recording to the recording medium when it becomes a formal picture recording reservation time. SOLUTION: When a picture recording for storage is reserved, e.g. so that a drama A (one-hour program) is continuously recorded by six stories from 10 o'clock every day in a triple-speed mode with the use of a two-hour tape, the picture-recording apparatus operates and sets picture recording start positions (a), (b), (c).... In the middle of picture recording the reserved program, for example, if a drama B (8 o'clock to 9 o'clock on May, 7) which is not necessary to be stored is reserved, the picture-recording apparatus fast forwards the tape after the first story of the drama A is finished and, records from the picture recording start position (b). After finishing recording the drama B, the picture recording apparatus rewinds from the picture recording start point (c) to the picture recording start point (a), records the second story of the drama A, and overwrites the next third story of the drama A from the picture recording start point (b). The other drama B than the drama A can also be reserved by a timer accordingly.</p> |
