In the present invention there is disclosed an element for heat exchange employed for surface heating or cooling and consisting of a cavity (3) for transportation of a heat-carrying medium and being encompassed by a jacket (2) of plastic or metal, fitted with areas of different thickness and different thermal conductivity, whereby the jacket (2) has greater thickness in those parts, which are after installation of the heating or cooling element turned toward to and/or away from the heated or cooled surface, respectively if compared with other parts, and/or the jacket (2) is provided in those part that are turned toward to and/or away from heated or cooled surface with an insulation slit (6) being filled with a material that is poor heat conductor.
