A method of sealing the porosity of a porous object, eg. metal casting, by impregnating that object with a heat-curable resinous sealant material, and then curing the resin <I>in situ</I>, in which method the cure is initiated by heating the impregnated object in air at or near to the minimum cure temperature of the sealant while rotating the object about a horizontal axis during this heat treatment. No sealant is left on the surface of the object.
