In the present invention there is disclosed a device for attaching a chin strap (14) to a protective helmet (1) that includes a main outer shell (2), having removable and disconnectable means for the chin strap (14) being formed by a fastening member (17) forming a part of the chin strap (14) and being intended for engagement with a fastening lug (30) forming a part of the protective helmet (1) wall (2). The fastening member (17) is configured to include a fastening portion (20) affixed to a pivotable gripping lever (21), and the pivotable gripping lever (21) is pivotable mounted on the fastening member (17). Additionally, the fastening lug (30) affixed to the helmet (1) wall (2) includes a matching recessed portion (31) for receiving the fastening portion (20). In the present invention there is also claimed the protective helmet (1) containing at least one device for attaching the chin strap (14), where said protective helmet includes the main outer shell (2), having two side wall part (9), whereby the fastening lug (30) of the chin strap (14) is arranged on one of the side wall parts (9). |
