<p>An industrial antibacterial and antifungal agent, an algicide, and an agent for preventing adhesion of organisms containing the benzylamine of the general formula (1) <CHEM> or acid addition salt thereof, wherein A is a group of the general formula (2) <CHEM> in which a to e are H, C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 alkoxy, halogen or C1-4 halogenated alkyl, or a naphthyl; R<1>, R<2> are H, C1-4 alkyl; or A-C(-R<1>)(-R<2>)- are together a group of the general formula (3) or (4) <CHEM> in which m is 2 or 3; and n is 1 or 2; R<3> is H or C1-4 alkyl; R<4>, R<5> are H or C1-6 alkyl, C1-5 alkoxy, halogen or C1-5 halogenated alkyl, a cyano or C1-5 cyanoalkyl; R<6> is C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 alkoxy or halogen; and l is 0 to 2.</p> |
