PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly feed air-fuel mixture to a combustion chamber, reduce the number of part items to lower cost, and moreover suppress the occurrence of the blow-by of the mixture. SOLUTION: In this two-cycle engine, air-fuel mixture M to be introduced into a crank case 2 under a cylinder 1 through an intake port 20, is introduced into a combustion chamber 1a on the upper part of the cylinder 1 from a first scavenging port 11. In this case, a second scavenging port 13, having an upper end H3 at a position higher than the upper end H2 of the port 11 on the upper part than the port 10, is formed on the cylinder 1, and an air passage 14 for introducing air A through a check valve 15 is connected to the port 13, to communicate the downstream than the valve 15 in the passage 14 and the case 2 inside via a communication path 16.
