CONTROLLING METHOD FOR GLOSS OF HEAT DYESTUFF TRANSFERRED IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the controlling method for the gloss of a heat dyestuff transferred image by a method wherein printing energy is controlled. SOLUTION: This controlling method includes a process for forming a dyestuff transferred image by transferring a dyestuff image to the image accepting layer of dyestuff accepting elements through the image-like heating of dyestuff donating elements in contact with the dyestuff accepting elements under the state that a dyestuff layer including image dyestuff in a binder is provided on a support and a process for thermally transferring a protective layer employing elements including micro-spheres, which are of made of nonexpanded synthetic thermoplastic polymer and have the particle size of 5 to 20 μm under nonexpanded state, on a transferred dyestuff image by employing the predetermined energy level for expanding the micro-spheres until the predetermined gloss level is obtained.
