METHOD FOR CONJUGATING LCP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and also firmly conjugating LCP(liquid crystal polymers), wherein conjugated objects have excellent adhesiveness and heat resistance, by conjugating liquid crystal polymers(LCP) to each other or an LCP to another material using an adhesive produced by adding a polycarbodiimide resin to a specific epoxy resin composition. SOLUTION: This method comprises conjugating LCP using an epoxy-based adhesive having a moisture content of pref. <=0.5 wt.% and obtained by adding (B) a polycarbodiimide resin to (A) an epoxy resin composition comprising (i) an epoxy resin such as a bisphenol A-type epoxy resin and (ii) a curing agent such as a dicyandiamide to conjugate LCPs to each other or an LCP to another material. The component (ii) is used desirably at 2-200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component (i), and the component B is used desirably at 0.1-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A. The component B is produced from a diphenylmethane diisocyanate, or the like, in the presence of a carbodiimidation catalyst.
