MANUFACTURE OF RUBBER ROLLER HAVING COATED LAYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manufacture of a rubber roller which can prevent occurrence of bubble defectives in a coated layer and provides stable picture quality even when variation occurs at thickness of the coating layer under use of solvent soluble resin liquid as coating liquid. SOLUTION: A roller elastic body is impregnated with coating liquid made up of at least two kinds of solvents having different boiling points, and resin soluble by the solvent. After pulling up, the body is first dried at the temperature not more than the lowest boiling point among those of the solvents. Nest, it is dried at the temperature not less than the highest boiling point among those of the solvents. A coated layer is thus formed on an outer peripheral surface of the roller elastic body.
