PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an installation space by setting a plurality of colors correspondingly along a transfer path of a continuous-form form paper in a vertical upward direction, and storing a paper to which a toner image of each color transferred to the continuous-form paper is fixed. SOLUTION: A pair of optical units (LU) 12a, 12b each for generating a light image of two colors is set to four colors. The LU 12 irradiates photosensitive drums (ED) 10a and 10b with black and cyan color images, and the LU 12b irradiates EDs 10c and 10d with magenta and cyan color images, respectively. A continuous-form paper in a hopper is transferred by a transfer belt 32 to a recording part. Each color toner is transferred to the paper by each photosensitive drum and thermally fixed by a thermal fixing device. The paper is stored in a stacker. In color printing, since a toner layer becomes thick and a heat roller applies heat to an upper side of the paper by the thermal fixing device, the toner of a lower side of the paper is hard to fix. As such, a rear face of the paper is preheated by a preheater to soften the toner. Color layers can be formed and fixed to the continuous-form paper, and an installation area for the apparatus can be reduced. |
