PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous hot dip metal plating equipment capable of effectively suppressing the vibration of a steel strip in a gas wiping apparatus by simple equipment. SOLUTION: In this continuous hot dip metal plating equipment for a steel strip having a plating bath 1 for depositing hot dip metal on a steel strip, a roll 4 changing the direction of the steel strip taken up from the plating bath 1 or supporting it and gas wiping nozzles 3a and 3b, an electromagnet 5 for sucking the steel strip arranged oppositely to the one side sheet face of the steel strip between the bath face of the plating bath 1 and the roll 4, a position detector 6 in the sheet thickness direction of the steel strip and a controller controlling the magnetic force of the electromagnet 5 based on the detected result from the position detector 6 are provided, and the roll 4 is arranged in such a manner that the direction of the pass line of the steel strip from the electromagnet 5 to the roll 4 is made gradient to the side of the steel strip sheet face opposite to the electromagnet 5 in the direction of the pass line of the steel strip from the bath face of the plating bath 1 to the electromagnet 5.
