PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable repellency of insects by coating and prevention of short- circuit even when insects gather on a printed circuit board and the like or their corpses and excrements accumulate thereon and further, repellency of insects even at high temperatures. SOLUTION: An insect repellent composition comprising an insect repellent whose major component is a compounded composition containing a pyrethroid compound and/or its derivative of 2-(p-ethoxyphenyl)-2-methylpropyl-3- phenoxybenzyl ether and an insect repellent and an organic solvent-soluble natural resin at a ratio of 1:10 to 1:50 in combination is mixed with a solvent- free type silicone rubber coating whose major component is dimethylsiloxane at a predetermined ratio with a reduced mixing ratio of the former.
