PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the interval between both forks and the interval between both lock bars. SOLUTION: In this pallet fixing device of a forklift truck, a pair of forks 4 and a pair of lifting rods 6 capable of rising and falling and each having a lock bar 5 projected from its lower end are mounted on a lift capable of rising and falling placed on a mast on a vehicle body after the end 4a of each fork 4 and each lock bar 5 are inserted into receptacles in a pallet, the lift is raised to cause each fork 4 to abut the upper deck board of the pallet and then each lifting rod 6 is lowered to cause each lock bar 5 to abut on the lower deck board of the pallet so as to fix the pallet in place. A pair of lock mechanisms 14 by which the lifting rods 6 are supported in such a way as to be capable of rising and falling are provided, and each lock mechanism 14 and each fork 4 are independently horizontally movably attached to the lift.
